Mo's Dream Cream Review

**Disclaimer:  I've been given this product as part of a product review through Chronic Illness Bloggers network.  Although the product was a gift, all opinions in this review remain my own and I was in no way influenced by the company.**

I'm in so much pain every day, that I'm always excited to hear about and/or try something new that may help to alleviate my pain even if just a bit!  When I was extended the invitation to try Mo's Dream Cream and No Mo Pain Stick, I was completely stoked!

I anxiously waited on the mail to come, and was so happy when I recieved the little padded envelope!  I didn't even wait until I got home to open it, I tore right into it as soon as I got back into my Jeep.  The first thing I noticed as I was opening it, was the smell.  I'm very sensitive to scents, and I won't lie, I was a little offput by the odor.  I wasn't going to let that stop me though.  I rushed home and put it on my aching legs.  Once on for a few minutes, you don't notice the smell much.  It just takes a little getting used to!

The creator of Mo's Dream Cream is a lady named Keri.  Keri suffered with pain, and didn't like the current options to relieve her pain.  So, she gathered up some all natural ingredients and created this wonderful lotion!

Putting the lotion on my legs, I noticed that it's a little runny so be careful when pouring it out.  I've found that it doesn't take very much at all.  The old saying "a little goes a long way" holds true with this.  The letter from Keri that accompanied the lotion and the No Mo Pain Stick, said that it can start working in as little as 5 minutes after applying.  I looked at the time on my computer, and was going to keep track and see how quickly it worked for me.  I have to admit that I was having a fibro fog day though, and all of a sudden I looked back at the clock and saw it'd been 10 minutes.  My legs didn't hurt anymore  ....now "when" in that 10 minute time frame they stopped hurting I couldn't tell ya lol!  I actually had to laugh out loud at myself, because when I looked at the time I thought "Hey!  My legs don't hurt anymore!  When did that happen?" lol.

This cream (lotion as I like to call it) works for anywhere from 6-10 hours, depending on what type of pain it's being used for.  I can say that my relief lasted for about 8.5 hours.  It's main ingredient is Capsaicin Paste, and I can say it really does work!  Keri markets it for several different types of pain, such as:  Fibromyalgia, Neuropathy, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Planter Fisciitis, and Restless Leg Syndrome.  Adding a couple more of my own health issues of CRPS, DDD, and bulging discs, I can say it's helped me with the pain of everything I have!

I love the No Mo Pain Stick, because it's easy to throw in your purse and take with you on the go.  I also found that the scent of the stick isn't quite as strong as the lotion.  Personally, I don't think the stick works *quite* as good as the lotion, but it does still work and works well enough that I definitely carry it with me everywhere I go!

If you're looking for a homemade, all natural product to relieve your pain I definitely recommed these two products!  You can check them out and order, from the link I posted in the first paragraph!  -I don't think you'll be sorry!

Disney On Ice: Passport To Adventure Review

Last night, my family was lucky enough to see the opening performance of Disney On Ice: Passport To Adventure, at the Huntington Center in Toledo, OH.  We were all so excited to go to this, and we certainly were not disappointed!  We all had the most family fun that we've had in a very long time!

Here's a picture of my 2yr 4.5 month old granddaughter waiting on the show to start:

She wasn't sure what to think, while waiting.  Once the show got started though, that all changed in an instant!  She kept saying "It's my bithday!" lol.  I'm not sure why, but we couldn't convince her otherwise.  When the show started, she insisted on standing for almost the entire performance.  She'd holler "Oooh!" and point all excited to the characters.  Everytime she'd see Donald and Daisy duck she'd holler "A duck!" lol.

Shortly after opening, a group of monkeys started creeping across the top of the stage, to make their way down the staircase and onto the ice.  Little Miss Leah noticed this before any of us and sharply drew in her breath while pointing and saying "Wook!  Wook Grandma!".  She was just completely mesmerized by the entire show!

The skaters were friendly, waving and touching the hands of children whenever they could.  Of course, Leah thought that they were waving to her personally each time lol.  Every character out there quickly became her "best friend"!

The entire show was just complete magic!  From the skaters graceful performaces, to the costumes, props, and special effects, it was all perfect!  With The Little Mermaid, the use of bubbles falling from the sky made you feel as if you really were in an under-the-sea adventure.  Tink's fairy wand sprinkled real magic fairy dust, and Peter Pan really flew!  Even my daughter had a wonderful time, and thanked me three or four times for taking her.

Every time Leah see's a commercial on tv for Disney parks, she says "I want that".  Disney On Ice: Passport to adventure was a wonderful alternative!  I can't say enough good things about the show.  Thank you Disney On Ice for helping us to create some awesome memories that will last a lifetime!

Twist and Fold Activity Gym Review/Giveaway

As a new grandma and grandma-to-be, I try to find the newest, greatest products available today. A lot has changed since I've had a baby around. This activity gym looks awesome! Baby will twist and shout for this new take on a classic design. Our super soft activity gym is filled with fun features and plush play pals. It’s the perfect take-along for big adventures or for turning little spaces into big fun!

I have to say this is one of the best play mats I have ever owned. It's full of vibrant colors,
patterns and fun little toys to keep baby entertained.

The blanket is very plush! Some play mats have very thin blanketing which can be very uncomfortable for baby especially if you have wood floors. The Infantino Go Gaga Deluxe Twist & Fold play mat is perfect for hard wood floors.

There are six items included to keep baby entertained. A mobile that plays music when you wind it, a lion, giraffe, monkey, tummy time pillow and a mirror so your little one can look at themselves.

Infantino didn't name it twist & fold for a reason. It very easy to fold in two steps and store away just
by twisting the orange tab on top and pull and wala! It's as easy as that!

I love that the Infantino Go Gaga Twist & Fold Gym can grow with your baby!
From Birth up you can use it as an overhead discovery then tummy time and when your child it old enough to sit on their own it becomes a sit & play mat!

I would highly recommend this to a family and friend!

Wait there is more!! I'm giving one away to one of my luck readers!!!

BedLounge Reading Pillow

Our very first product, to kick off the Holiday Gift Guide & Countdown To Christmas is the BedLounge. Now, my back pain is so bad that the only place I could sit comfortably was at my desk, in my computer chair, leaning over on my desk.  I can't tell you how many times my daughter has asked me to come sit in the living room and watch tv or a movie with her, that I just couldn't do.  Every time I'd tell her "no", I'd feel like a horrible mother.  I wanted to, and sometimes I just dealt with the pain and did it.  Overall though, it was a few & far between situation.

Another thing about my illnesses, is that they also robbed me of reading.  This really made me mad.  I was an only child and we lived in the country.  Books, or rather the characters in the books, were my friends.  I'd sit outside under a tree, and read all day long.  I'd lose myself within my imagination as I was reading.  Of course my love of books, carried over from my childhood.  For the last 12-18 months, I haven't been able to read anymore.  It now hurts me too bad to try to hold a book in front of my face and read for longer then 5-10 minutes.  When I read, I like to do so for a good 2-3 hrs at a time (you can tell that I don't have little kids anymore lol).  I even have a Kindle and they are extremely light weight, yet even holding the Kindle to read, hurts my arms, shoulders, and neck profusely.

When I came across the BedLounge online, it looked and sounded too good to be true.  Skepticism ran through my mind.  I was so desperate to be able to read books again, and watch tv with my daughter in the living room (instead of making her come sit in the dining room where my desk is at, and watching "tv" on my computer.  I contacted BedLounge and told them I'm a blogger and asked if they'd send me one in exchange for me doing a review on it.  Thankfully, they were kind enough to send me one.

The short amount of time it took to get to me, was unreal!  I couldn't believe how quickly I received my BedLounge.  I think my daughter was as excited as I was lol!  She helped me open the box and remove the BedLounge.   We got the minor assembly done, then she was the first to try it. She loved it!  I hurried to grab a book, then I jumped in bed with it, to see if it helped my pain level while reading.  I couldn't believe how much longer my body held out for me to read!  I can even watch tv in my living room again now!

The pillow is hypoallergenic.  It's filled with synthetic down, and cleaned feathers.  The pillow was designed by a world-renowned back expert, Dr. Robert Swezey, M.D.  The coolest thing in my opinion about the BedLounge, is that it's completely adjustable to fit you!  The headrest is adjustable. It slides up and down, plus it also rotates!  So whether you're tall, or short like me, the headrest will fit you.  There's a lumbar pillow that's adjustable, to ensure you're getting great support for your back.  The best thing ever about the BedLounge in my opinion?  The armrests!  They pivot.  You can adjust them in towards you if you'd like a little tighter fit, and if you want more room just pivot them outward.  These amazing armrests also have built in pockets in them that you can stuff full of stuff so that you don't have to jump up for anything while you're relaxing! The armrests help to support the weight of your body to reduce strain on your neck, head, and shoulders.  These amazing armrests are what allowed me to start reading and watching tv again!!

There's several uses for this pillow. I'm going to copy/paste right from the BedLounge Website:

There are several colors that you can choose from when ordering your pillow!  They also sell BedLounge Slip Covers if' you'd like to get one.

The BedLounge also has a sixty day risk free trial!  How can you beat that??!  Seriously though, you won't be disappointed.  The things it's allowed me to do, that I couldn't before, is worth every single penny they sell them for.

Also, I must say that this company has been absolutely wonderful to work with.  Super polite, great customer service, super fast shipping *The pillow usually ships within one-two days of you placing your order! This pillow is a must-have for anyone who suffers from any type of chronic pain!  Let's show them how much we appreciate their awesome product that make the lives of chronic pain sufferers a little easier, and for participating in this giveaway!  Let's all go to their facebook page and "like" them to show our appreciation!  1 minute isn't much to give up!  =)  To like the BedLounge on facebook, click HERE.

*I didn't receive any cash compensation for this post, but I did receive a pillow.  Regardless, all opinions expressed on this blog are my own.
